MAN EATING PRIDES

Tigress Productions: For Channel FIVE and National Geographic

Director: Andrew Graham-Brown

Tanzanians are under siege from a plague of man-eating lions. The East African republic is home to more than one quarter of the world's lions, but until recently, attacks on humans have been few and far between. Now, entire prides consider humans fair game; over six hundred people have been killed by lions in Tanzania since 1990.

This film explores how and why lion behaviour is changing towards targeting humans as prey, and joins a lion hunting team that are out to catch and kill a man-eater that has been terrorising the region and is held guilty for killing over 20 people in the past year.
